Sister Kathleen entered the Maryknoll Sisters in 1981. She made her First Profession of Vows in 1983 at the Maryknoll Sisters Center, Maryknoll, NY and her Final Vows in 1994 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
In 1983, Sister Kathleen got her first mission assignment to Kenya where she worked with women and developed small Christian communities. In 1989, she was assigned to Harare Zimbabwe, where she taught on the Secondary Education level until 1994 when she moved to the Primary Level of Education. From 1997 through 1999, Sister Kathleen attended the University of London and earned an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language.
From 1999 – 2013, Sister Kathleen coordinated an education program with HIV/AIDS affected orphans in Harare, Zimbabwe. In 2013 she returned to the Maryknoll Sisters Center to volunteer in the Mission Institute Department.
In 2016, she was assigned to the Western, U.S. where she is working on the Texas-Mexico border providing aid to immigrants in need.
