MARYKNOLL, NY — Maryknoll Sisters will hold their annual International Bazaar on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maryknoll Sisters Center, 100 Ryder Road., Ossining, NY.
Featuring handicrafts from our mission sites, including Asia, Africa, Central and South America, as well as the Sisters themselves, the bazaar serves as a fundraiser supporting the Sisters and their humanitarian efforts around the world. It’s also an opportunity for local residents to get some of their Christmas shopping done early.
Pictured before the Christmas tree during our 2013 Bazaar are, left to right, Sisters Ann Mutinda, missioner to Peru, and Mercy Mtaita, missioner to Brazil. Sister Ann was born in Kenya and Sister Mercy in Tanzania.
A free event, open to the public, this year’s bazaar also plans to feature book signings by several Maryknoll Sisters who have authored books in recent years.
In addition to handicrafts, visitors will be able to purchase home-baked goods from the Sisters’ kitchen and reproductions of fine Christian art, created by Sister Marie Pierre Semler, MM. Several raffles will also be featured.
